Description

In this part-time role you will get to help our customers continually love us by being their superhero in answering the basics on how our software works. We will train you on how to triage, direct, and manage customer requests for both product and technical support. You will partner with your peers and other teams to resolve customer problems in a timely, efficient manner.

In this role, you will:

  • Do work that matters: Help our small businesses be excellent through learning and using our great software. When you help our customers win, you help their customers win which helps keep the economy going!
  • Work part-time (20-29 hours/week). (We hire full-time roles all the time, but give all existing part-time employees first pick!)
  • Work remotely from anywhere in Utah.  When it’s safe to be in the office again, you will have the option to work in-office or stay remote from anywhere in Utah
  • Answer incoming calls, chats or emails and quickly assess (within five minutes or less) if you can resolve their issue. If not, then using your knowledge and resources transfer to the right team to get the issue fully resolved.
  • Resolve issues with basic troubleshooting
  • Save the day for our customers!
  • Grow and learn with the support team! There are always opportunities for advancement, learning, training and more
  • Continue to be awesome and do awesome things for all our people (internally and externally)

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Customer Support/Service experience in general.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal as you will be, not only working with our customers, but also your peers to get issues resolved.
  • Basic computer skills (working with browsers, spreadsheets, and text documents).
    Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic customer issues.
  • Willingness to work 20-29 hours/week across any 5 days each week.

  • Background in technology, computer skills, and customer service

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will help to build new customer experiences around the search, exploration, and analysis of image, video, and unstructured data. This involves working on novel search interfaces which make powerful capabilities discoverable, as well as building intuitive experiences for interacting with machine learning predictions in facial recognition and text extraction.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Building a modular, maintainable frontend platform by contributing to our growing UI component library
  • Upholding a high standard of code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous refactoring
  • Working closely with customers, design, and product management to develop novel interfaces for processing, analysis, and visualization of image and video data
  • Driving frontend architecture and development decisions, initially as an individual contributor, but with opportunities for mentorship and management as the team scales
  • Developing a culture around user-centric product engineering

What we’re looking for

Senior DevOps Engineer – Austin, Texas

 

Our client is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. The new platform is evolving, so this role will focus on implementing the best tools to support our build, deployment, and release.  Additionally, to develop operational processes to support the most flexible and responsive user experience, scaling to 20+ million DAU.

Responsibilities

  • The Sr. DevOps Engineer will contribute to the development and maintenance of the deployment tools as well as monitoring the operation of a complex distributed technology architecture.
  • Architect and build continuous delivery automated pipelines for a suite of microservices
  • A passion for automation and self-healing systems.
  • Creating and managing the engineering build and deployment process across all environments.
  • Execute automated and/or manual test suites throughout projects.
  • Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including testing tools, process improvements, and test automation to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance.
  • Monitor application logs and responds to errors.
  • Look for ways to optimize build times and speed up feedback loops.
  • Setup, maintain, and administer software build and deployment methods and tools.
  • Identify development methodologies to continually improve our production practices and efficiency.

Required

  • BS or MS in CS/Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years’ experience in DevOps supporting Agile Development and CI/CD environments.
  • Experience with designing, automating, and operating secure and scalable Azure infrastructure using NSG, WAF, App Insights, and App Services.
  • Expertise in Python and PowerShell.
  • Proficient with at least one container orchestration solution (Kubernetes a plus).
  • Current and advanced knowledge of build and continuous integration tools with best practices.
  • Experience with log aggregators such as Splunk and Logstash.
  • Expertise in version control systems using Git, Perforce, or Subversion.
  • Ability to build a highly available, automated build-on-demand infrastructure for large development and test teams.
  • A detail-oriented, organized thought process and the ability to prioritize requirements.
  • Strong debugging, profiling, and analytic skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the build pipelines of Unity3d, Android, and XCode a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure and APM monitoring systems.
  • Experience building service level monitoring and alerting tools to help quickly pinpoint, isolate, and resolve issues related to infrastructure, platform services, and applications.
